New York Jets Heading into the 2015-2016 Season

The New York Jets head into the 2015-2016 season with some mixed expectations.  While they have brought in a lot of guys that can help the team as well as a new head coach, they still have a question mark at quarterback.  Year after year we begin to realize even more how much of a quarterback driven league this is.  Geno Smith through two years has not looked all that great, but he is young.

This offseason, the Jets added weapons all around Smith to help him play better.  At wide receiver, the Jets now have Brandon Marshall, Eric Decker, Jeremy Kerley, rookie 2nd round pick Devin Smith, former Texan Devier Posey, and last years 4th round pick Shaq Evans.  At tight end, the Jets have 2nd year pro Jace Amaro.  Amaro showed strides of the elite pass catching tight end he was in college and should benefit from a better Smith.  At running back, the Jets added Zac Stacy from the Rams and Stevan Ridley from the Patriots to go with Bilal Powell and Chris Ivory.

The defense has not been a question in recent years but the pass defense struggled last year.  The Jets brought back some familiar faces in Antonio Cromartie and Darrelle Revis.  They’ve also added Marcus Gilchrist who figures to play safety alongside Calvin Pryor and Buster Skrine from Cleveland who will play the nickel corner.
